Be Healed If You Meet God’s Conditions

Lordship of Christ

“There shall no plague come nigh thy dwelling,” (Exod. 30:12).

God can and will protect us physically, as well as spiritually, under all circumstances.

Biblical healing does not pertain to:

  • New Age healing
  • Christian Science.
  • Natural or New Thought philosophy.
  • Spiritualism.
  • Therapies or medications.
  • Superstition.
  • Mental suggestion.
  • Psychology.
  • Witchcraft.

Supernatural healing of disease and infirmities without natural means by the spirit of God; the Christian ministry should duplicate Jesus Christ’s work!

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people,” (Matt. 4:23).

Preach the gospel to the poor!

  • “Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him, ” (Jam. 2:5).
  • To heal the brokenhearted!
  • “The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound,” (Isa. 61:1).
  • “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, me to heal the deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” (Lk. 4:18).

The Lord Jesus Christ Gave Ministry Gifts

Faith Building

He give these ministry gifts; when He ascended on high taking with Him the Old Testament saints, who had awaited the consummation of God’s great plan of redemption since their physical death in Paradise Abraham’s bosom. Other words, these ministry gifts came fresh from the hand of the exalted Christ where He now sits at God’s right hand in heaven.

“Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?) He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens that he might fill all things.” (Eph. 4:8-10).

For how long did He give the ministry gifts? “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:13).

  • He gave these gifts to men, “Till we all come . . . unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
  • Until Jesus comes, “all of us” will never come to that place of maturity.

When Jesus comes, some babes will just have been born into the family of God. They will not have had time to mature. These ministry gifts are God’s programs for the maturing of the saints until Christ comes for His own. The Church needs all-round spiritual growth to arrive at her destined perfection in Christ. The ministry gift’s Christ placed in the Church helps us grow up into His image.

We cannot reach that place without the function of the fivefold ministry.

  • The ultimate aim of all ministries is not for self glory or to magnify the human in any way.
  • It is entirely toward the Body of Christ.
  • It takes all these ministries functioning to edify – build up – the Body of Christ.
  • Praise God for the gifts through which we are enabled to be in the ministry.
  • Praise Him for the edifying of the Body of Christ
  • Praise Him for the gifts, the manifestations of the Holy Spirit, which empower us for the ministry.

God’s Gifts are the avenue which enables us to bring to others the life-giving relationship which can take place with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Spirit of Adoption

Deliverance from the Spirit of Rejection

“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not glorified,” (Jn. 7: 37,38).

The spirit of adoption, a son ship with God: to attest that son ship; how great the force of faith is. The Greek word signifies a fixing or wavering of mind, so that we cannot tell which way to take. We know by the Spirit of God that we are sons of God.

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father,” (Rom. 8:15).

“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption to writ, the redemption of our body,” (Rom. 8:23).

  • All this was through faith.
  • Consequently, from the beginning God had purposed that salvation should be through faith.

God never expected that any soul of man should be justified by the works of the law. This gave that law only that the exceeding sinfulness of sin might appear. That man might be prepared to welcome the gospel, which proclaimed Salvation to a lost world through the atoning death of Christ.

What Causes Blessings or Curses

Deliverance from Sin

Disobedience or obedience to God’s law.

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God,” (Deut 28:1-2).

  • Blessing or curses in a Person’s life.
  • God said to him in Genesis.

“That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the ate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice,” (Gen. 22:17-18).

The cause for Abraham’s blessing was that he heard and obeyed the voice of God.

  • The basic cause for curses is stated in (Deut. 28:15). “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. . . .”

Therefore, the root cause of all curses is not hearing and not obeying God’s Word.

    • Notice that both curses and blessings “overtake” us.
    • We do not really have to chase them.
    • We must fulfill the conditions, either positive or negative.
    • If we do the positive requirement: The blessings overtake us.
