“So will they fear the name of the Lord from the west and East. His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift a standard against Him,” (Isa. 59:1).

FREEDOM

Christians can live free from mental torture, panic, envy, hatred, pride, self pity, addiction, gluttony and all other forms of bondage, oppression and defilement!

There are two main causes for a person’s inner problems.

The first point is what the Word calls “the flesh, or the ‘old man.” The old man that part of the person that is the carnal nature of the person’s flesh and it is the rebellious person’s will that is being influenced and tempted by Satan. “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin,” (Rom. 6:6).

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him,” (Col. 3:9-10).

The second cause for inner problems is the working of evil spirits. Demons will tie themselves to the person’s mind or flesh. They will not relinquish their evil hold unless compelled to do so by a Christian that is empowered by Jesus.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil , and he will flee from you,” (Jam. 4:7).

Deliverance is Healing the Sick

A Living Testimony for Jesus

Sickness is of the devil!

Many pastors teach “Christians can’t have demons.” And that’s the end of it. However, people in their churches are filled with people that have all manner of illnesses. Most believers have adopted the false idea that if they ignore Satan, he will ignore them. According to scripture such a position is indefensible.

l Pet. 5: 8, 9; 8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

Jesus often healed by removing spirits of infirmity which are another method of Satanic attack.

“Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. 41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ,” (Lk. 4:40-41).

Consider Peter, who one moment spoke by Divine revelation, declaring that Jesus was the very Christ and the next moment was reprimanded by Jesus, who rebuked Satan in him.

“Thou savorest not the things that be of God,” (Matt. 16:13-23).

Deliverance is a Lifestyle with Jesus at the Center

Authorities and Powers

We may become like Jesus by making him the center of one’s’ life. This ministry is not about chasing and looking for demons. It is a ministry of seeking Jesus and exalting His power over the over our live and having compassion for those who are entangled by the powers of darkness.

If the problem is caused by the person’s submission to the sins of the flesh, then counsel must direct that person to commitment to the Lord and His Word. If it’s a demon, then we must cast it out. Obviously correct diagnosis is of major importance. We must discern what we are dealing with each case. Is the problem being caused by oppression of the flesh? If this is the reason, then we must counsel the person to totally commit his or her life to Jesus Christ.

“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts,” (Gal. 5:24).

If it a question of demon possession, then we must cast it out.

“For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.”(Mk. 5,8, 16:17).
