Authority over Nations

The church has been given spiritual power in the Person of the Holy Spirit ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” We’ve been commissioned to be the witness of Christ worldwide. Jesus told us, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you,” — Matthew 28:19, 20. .– Mark 16:15– Revelation 2:26.

The Apostle Paul fought a good fight and finished the course, said: “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy minis¬try.” 6. “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.” 7. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith [remember the gem?” 8. “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day . . .” (2 Timothy 4:5-8).

His fight was exceedingly difficult; a little cruel for Satan is a very wicked and merciless opponent. He faced imprisonments and beatings; a shipwreck and in perils of robbers; false brethren and many hardships — 2 Corinthians 11:23-28. The Apostle Paul never backed down and fought the good fight of faith and emerged out of the other side victorious and glorious. Few men have made such a mark for God on the world.

Guatemala’s Institute of Anthropology and History told Pastor Harold Caballero that he would have to stop building his church. “You are destroying a pre Columbian monument.” There was a huge mound of dirt on his church’s property known by the anthropologists as “The mount of the serpent of the valley of Guatemala.” This structured was once at least 14 miles long, 90 feet wide at the base and 45 feet high. Constructed by the Mayan Indians 200 years before Christ, this monument of worship was actually an idol of a flying, feathered serpent called Quetzalcoatl.

An excavation revealed that the head of the serpent rests on El Shaddai’s property. Church members responded with fasting and prayer. They believe that God allowed them to purchase the property so they could break the serpent-god’s power over their nation. They proclaimed Christ’s lordship over the nation. Their first spiritual assault on this ancient stronghold occurred in 1990 when they assembled key Guatemalan pastors representing various denominations and movement throughout the nation. The leaders repented for their own sins and for the idolatry of their ancestors. A national network of prayer, known as Jesus is Lord of Guatemala, was organized at that meeting and has since linked more than 30,000 intercessors, all of whom pray one hour daily for spiritual breakthroughs in the nation. Revival fires are raging in this nation!
