The Power and Authority of the Word of God

We have all the Power we need in Jesus Christ and in the Word of God. There is nothing more for us to obtain. Jesus has paid the price for us to have it all. The Father gave Jesus Christ all power and authority. Jesus has delegated that same power to usward who believe, according to the Power of God that worketh in us. born-again

The Bible, the Word of God, is full of testimonies for our example how God in Christ Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever is our deliverer from all kinds of enemies be it physical, spiritual or financial! Yes, when God’s trusting ones cry to the LORD because of the oppressors, He sends them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He delivers them (Isaiah 19:20).

After salvation and deliverance, disobedience for Christians should be a thing of the past.

  • “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he mediate day and night,” ( Ps. 1:2.)
  • “In Samuel have the Lord is great as light in brunt offerings and sacrifice, as in the obeying the voice of he Lord. Behold to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of the rams.” (1 Sam. 15:22)
  • Listen for the sound of his voice and dwell in His Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Rom. 10:17)
  • Study His Word. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Rev. 12:11)

Intercession in the Spirit of Love

Paul refers to his own intercessory prayers and seeks for a similar service on his own behalf from those to whom he writes. Intercession is based upon the tendency of the heart filled by love and deep sympathetic sense of relations to others.

Jesus has already won the war

We imitate His ministry.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart,” (Heb. 4:12).

Jesus used the Word of God when He needed the Power of God. We use the Word of God to tap into the power of God! Jesus was a doer of the Word.

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers’ only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed,” (Jam. 1:21-25).

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him,” (Eph. 1:17). Paul shows the power relationship between the believer and Jesus’ exalted position of authority.
