Your relationships with your earthly family are important. However, your relationship with your heavenly Father through Jesus Christ is much more important. When you become a child of the King you enter into the family of God. We must seek to understand the things of God so that we will grow in our knowledge of the soon coming King and be prepared to enter into the kingdom. Many Christians, including some Pastors do not believe that demons will enter into inanimate objects. Many think you are going off the deep end if you tell them about idolatry. There is Biblical evidence to the truth of demons association with inanimate objects. In the case of objects dedicated to demons (Idols, artifacts, etc.) . . . destroy them. Additionally, second hand: Homes, clothes, jewelry, etc., should be prayed over in the name of Jesus. Former owners could have been in the occult, Ouija boards, or any number of other practices or sins. Evil spirits linger behind and will attack new owners.
Break the powers of the sins of your ancestors and release the blessings of Abraham over you and your family. Ask God to forgive them and you forgive them. Ask God to forgive you from all your idolatrous sins and you forgive yourself for all sins against your own body.

Elisha followed the older man closely that day, refusing suggestions that he stays behind. At the end, the old prophet turned to the young man and said, “Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you.” Elisha said, “I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”
Elisha was asking that the anointing and power of God that rested upon Elijah come upon him, but in a double measure. Elijah replied: “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be done for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” It came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Elisha saw and cried, ” My father, my father! The Chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof! And He saw him no more . . . ” The condition has been fulfilled.
