True Christians are admonished in the Word to be sober and to be vigilant because of the adversary that walks about seeking whom he may devour. Additionally the Bible tells us that the righteous are scarcely saved and that there would come a time that there would be such iniquity that if it were possible the very elect would be deceived. Stay close to the Lord in the latter days!
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils…” 1Timothy 4:1
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord…” Amos 8:11
